WebSSDs report the number of spare NAND blocks they have, as well as the amount they've used. Combine that with the number of writes each block reports, against a "lifetime" threshold. So you can guestimate the lifespan of the SSD based on those stats. HDDs have none of those stats since it's arrangements of magnetic charge on a glass/metal plate. WebIt's the total amount of data written by the computer. The actual flash chips may have erased/written a bit (or a lot) more due to write amplification . It depends on the exact model of the drive whether this is problematic, but probably it isn't. Have a look at it again after a month to see if you're indeed writing 50+ GB a day on average ...
